Together TV launches its free-to-use streaming service. As the TV channel that inspires positive social change, Together TV developed the platform to better serve its regular viewers and also reach new audiences, engage them with change-making campaigns.

The UK-based streaming service is now available through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store , online at watch.togethertv.com and on Apple TV and Android TV app store, with further TV apps to follow soon.

As the world’s first community-owned charitable television channel, Together TV’s streaming service reflects this purpose-driven ethos throughout the platform. It does this by connecting the programming to genre-specific resources and campaigns to “Channel Your Inner Good”. For example, those watching a gardening series will be encouraged to “Channel Your Inner Grower”. Here viewers will find more information about the Sunflower Challenge - a behavioural change campaign to improve well-being and reduce social isolation through gardening, fronted by TV gardener Danny Clarke.

Together TV’s catch-up service enables viewers to watch programmes they might have missed, including factual entertainment series and thought-provoking documentaries. In addition, there is original content created through Together TV's Diverse Film Fund including BAFTA-winner “Our Land”. The content catalogue will become richer and deeper with more fan favourites as the channel’s programming becomes available to catch up and stream.

TV Gardener, Danny Clarke, explains: “I have been part of the change-making campaigns that Together TV have launched recently with over 100,000 in the UK participating to the Sunflower Challenge already, and I am so pleased to see how – thanks to that - people have been finding joy in new interests like gardening, by boosting their wellbeing and even connecting with others. Together TV’s new streaming service will give viewers the opportunity to have these shows – including The Instant Gardener – and campaigns always available to them anytime, anywhere in the UK”.

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall said “It’s very good news that Together TV is launching a streaming service. It's great to see television programmes being connected to related social impact initiatives, so that viewers can be inspired to take action for a better world.  I’m thrilled they will be able to watch some of my back catalogue of campaigning content, including War on Waste and Easy Ways to Live Well. I really hope they will then feel empowered to do good for themselves and their communities."

Alexander Kann, Chief Executive at Together TV explained: “We are proud to launch this brand-new service that enables our viewers to enjoy Together TV's inspiring shows and documentaries for free, anytime and anywhere in the UK. In addition, we hope this platform will help viewers channel their inner good. We're here to motivate our viewers to feel good, be more connected and ultimately take their interests out into the community around them to create some social good.”
