We are a new channel from the makers of Community Channel, and we believe that together we do more.

What does this mean? It means we broadcast programmes that entertain, engage and inspire, with the aim of motivating viewers to doing more in their lives, and do more for others where they are.

This could be watching a food series that inspires you to reduce your food waste or think about buying local produce, an arts series rekindles your creativity by joining a painting, pottery or stitching group, or it could be a documentary that talks about an issue you could help remedy by volunteering with a local support group.

We want to inspire everyone to do that little bit more with their time, get outside a bit more, be part of the community that bit more, and be the best we can be.

Together is now available 24-hours on Freeview, Sky, Virgin Media and freesat on TV, and you can also watch us on TVPlayer.co.uk, and watch us on-demand on our website togethertv.com, DailyMotion and BT TV. 

We’re optimistic, encouraging, and celebrate the quirks of British life. We’re all about real lives and shed light on stories you won’t see elsewhere. We draw our programming from the best U.K. broadcasters, independent production companies and new and diverse filmmaking talent.

We are showing a mix of smartly-entertaining series and strongly-authored documentaries across three key content strands:

• Make Together, looking at arts, crafts, hobbies and passions
• Better Together, all about being active, eating well and taking care of mind and body
• Get Together, finding joy in communal activity, be it local heritage or communities formed by locality, faith, diaspora or ethnicity, sexuality or ability.

These strands repeat each weekday. Beyond this our primetime runs from 9pm to midnight showcasing our new programming, including a regular documentary strand every weeknight at 9pm. We also have a ‘wake up’ block repeating the best of primetime.

Videos showing the best of our content will be published on Facebook and YouTube (both are /togethertv) and viewers can catch-up with shows on-demand via our website at togethertv.com.

Together is owned by The Community Channel, the world’s only national broadcaster that is supporter-owned and run as a charity Community Benefit Society. We are a form of mutual like John Lewis, or cooperative like The Coop, and any surplus we make gets put back into growing the channel.

We have been working on Together for several months, our small channel team, our board of trustees, our amazing media partners (drawn from public broadcasters including BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5/Viacom, platform operators including long-term supporters Sky, Virgin, Freeview and freesat, channel groups including A&E Networks, Discovery, Turner and UKTV, newspaper groups including DMGT, Guardian Media Group, News UK, Trinity Mirror and Telegraph Media Group and internet giants Google, Facebook and YouTube), our funders (Big Lottery Fund, Barrow Cadbury Trust, Social Investment Business and UnLtd.), impact partners (Project Dirt, Grow Wild, Get Creative, Vinspired) and several brilliant companies who have helped us bring Together to life (The Council, Trigger and HeyBigMan! for developing our new identity, look and feel with us, Arqiva and Phoenix7 for developing our on-air presentation, Maxx Design for our new website, Little Dot Studios for our social video, and Facebook for their guidance and support).

We are also running a UK-wide marketing campaign over the next three months thanks to gifted spaces through our media partners - so we hope you see our promos, print ads and posters on major TV channels, in national newspapers, on social media and on digital billboards near you soon!
