Feel-Good TV This July: Alan Cumming’s Scotland, Flipping Profit and The Greek Kitchen on Together TV
There’s something special about July telly. Maybe it’s the comfort of familiar favourites, the joy of discovering something new, or just the simple pleasure of sitting down with a cuppa after a day in the garden. This month on Together TV, we’ve got a line-up full of warmth, curiosity and gentle inspiration – just the way you like it.
We’re delighted to welcome Alan Cumming’s Edge of Scotland to the channel for the first time. In this thoughtful travel documentary, Alan returns to his roots to explore the people, landscapes and stories that make the Highlands so unique. It’s full of character, natural beauty and the kind of quiet moments that stay with you. And there is more: if you are based in Scotland, we take you there discovering amazing creative groups you can join. Read more here!
If you enjoy a bit of friendly competition and clever money-saving ideas, Flipping Profit might become your new afternoon favourite. Each episode sees three experts trying to turn £200 into as much profit as possible by buying and selling second-hand treasures. Think car boot sales, charity shops, and a fair bit of banter along the way. Find out when it's on - see our TV Guide.
And back by popular demand is The Greek Kitchen. Set against sunlit scenery and packed with traditional Mediterranean recipes, this cooking show is pure feel-good viewing. No fads or fuss – just real food, good company, and maybe a few new ideas for dinner. Browse our TV Guide to find out times.
July is also a time to pause and take care of ourselves and each other. The week ending 13th July marks Alcohol Awareness Week, a thoughtful reminder to check in with how we’re feeling. Later in the month, on 27th July, we’ll be showing Me and My Alcoholism – a powerful documentary sharing one person’s honest story of addiction and recovery. It's a quiet but important watch.
And on 24th July, we’ll be marking Samaritans Awareness Day. It’s a moment to remember that support is always there – and a reminder that just having someone to talk to can make all the difference.
Some people tune in for the cookery. Others for the landscapes, the storytelling or simply a bit of company. However you choose to enjoy it, Together TV is ready to keep you entertained all month long. And yes – Garden Rescue is still right where you left it.
