There is a mountain of waste in Lebanon, in the suburbs of Beirut, that used to be a sandy beach and it has now been replaced by a trashed mountain, well over 14 meters in height.
From there, Jeremy Irons sets out to discover the extent and effects of the global waste problem, as he travels around the world to beautiful destinations tainted by pollution.
This is a meticulous, brave investigative journey through 6 main topics– land, water, food, wildlife, air, humanity - that takes Irons (and all of us) from scepticism to sorrow and from horror to hope.
