How to recycle your sunflower
When the seeds have all fallen out and the leaves go yellow, you can chop up the dying sunflower to make your own compost heap or put it in your green waste recycling.
Gardening is a skill that is for life and a great way to join your community. Extend your new found skills in your local community garden or why not join a Get Creative Outdoor event happening near you!
Have you found your local gardening community using our map below? Let us know if there are any missing and we can try help grow you community garden too.
You can also develop your gardening skills by learning from the best such as Charlie Dimmock in Garden Rescue, Alan Titchmarsh and his great eye for garden design in Britain's Best Back Gardens, and the nation's favourite Monty Don; who has endless advice on making a stunning and healthy garden. See our TV guide for times and shows.
We continually strive to connect you to your community, so keep an eye open for our next challenge coming this Autumn.
