1. Who we are
1.1 Together is owned by The Community Channel, a charitable Community Benefit Society registered with the FCA (RS007400) and HMRC (EW58536). We are the UK’s only national channel dedicated to improving lives.
2 How your personal data will be used
2.1 We hold and process personal data about you in order to send you news, features and updates regarding Together’s activity and campaigns
2.2 We usually keep this information for three years, and periodically update and refresh our databases to ensure all contact information is still current and relevant.
2.3 Your information may be shared with our marketing and communications department, and held on the software services we use, such as e-newletter platforms and our CRM.
2.4 You have a number of rights with regards to how your data is protected.
2.5 By providing us with your information you will have the right to access and rectify your personal details. If you did wish to access your data, you shall have the right to view or receive a copy of the information in a commonly used format such as a pdf document or an e-mail.
2.6 Any information which is processed by automated means and is purely required for the performance of a contract, may be transmitted to another data controller if you request it.
2.7 You may also have the right to ask for the processing of your personal data to be restricted or even erased. Whether or not you exercise the right to erasure, the Company will erase your personal data in certain situations and particularly when the data is no longer required.
3. Why the personal data is legally required
3.1 The information we wish to gather about you is collected on the grounds of Contract (if we have an agreement between yourself/your company and the channel) or Consent (where you are signing up to newsletters and communications)
4. Sending personal data internationally
4.1 Your data may be transferred and processed outside of the European Economic Area as some of the software providers we use are outside the EEA (e.g. our email servers, newsletter provider, CRM, cloud document storage are provided by companies incorporated in the United States of America)
5. Safeguards
5.1 Appropriate safeguards have been implemented which protect your rights in accordance with current data protection laws. This includes ensuring all platforms we and our suppliers and partners use are GDPR encrypted, are cloud-based and encrypt data where possible.

6.2 In the event that you should have a complaint about how your data has been processed by us, we would like to hear from you so that we may put it right. However, you will always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office.
