DO GOOD WITH FOOD

How can you fight poverty and food waste by cooking? Being a FoodCycler, of course!

FoodCycle support people who are hungry and lonely by serving tasty lunches and dinners every single day in towns and cities across the country.  Many of FoodCycle guests struggle to afford the basics to eat and many will eat alone without company or conversation.

Hundreds of volunteers across the country serve over 1200 people a week using surplus food (cooked in spare kitchen space).

Why FoodCycle?

FoodCycle started out in May 2009, conducting their first cook after six months of intense preparation which included gathering key ingredients, volunteers and a kitchen. It was the spark that led to the organization to keep growing. After 10 years, they have served over 1 million meals to the various communities.

FoodCycle has become a champion fighting for the social welfare, having done over 39 projects across the UK and welcoming nearly 1400 guests through their doors each week, providing a space for vulnerable people to eat and make friends.
