What’s the challenge?
Together TV is inviting everyone to join its Green Challenge by sending out 100,000 FREE basil seed kits to grow and use in simple, tasty recipes. Don’t worry if you’re new to growing herbs and cooking, household TV chef Rustie Lee will show you step-by-step in weekly cookalongs including how to care for your basil!

FAQs
We will email you when we send out your seeds. In the meantime, it’s good to prepare by hunting down a good container to grow the seeds, like a seed tray or even a butter tub - just make sure there’s a hole in the bottom for drainage - and compost.
When you receive your basil seed kit, we will send you weekly tips via email about how to care and harvest your basil. In the meantime, Rustie Lee will show you how to make tasty, easy basil recipes that you can impress your friends and family with.
Along the way, there will be a wellbeing check-in to measure your progress including prize giveaways, opportunities for you to share your progress pictures and ways to use your newfound skills to help in your community!
No! We will send the free seeds to you for free. The exclusive content is also free to access and the prize draws throughout the 8-week journey will be free to enter.
We will send you a basil seed pack and a weekly calendar for you to hang on your fridge. We will offer advice on where to find any supplies you might need and often you can use things lying around the house. An empty butter tub is a great pot to sow your seed in (just make sure you make a drainage hole in it)!
Together TV wants you to grow basil and learn recipes to cook from scratch to boost your wellbeing, connect with your community and contribute to a greener planet. We will be guiding first time gardeners and cooks every step of the way with weekly emails. We want you and your basil to grow this year.
Whilst we've got thousands of seeds, we have to limit it to one per person. However, if you want to join with a household member, you can both sign up and cheer each other on.
Over the 8 weeks we will be helping you care for your basil and remind you of your shopping lists. We found the best way to remind you is by text or Whatsapp. The messages we send will be free to receive. You can always opt out of texts or let us know if you want to activate them.
You have to be over 18 and a resident in the UK to join the green challenge. You can find the full terms and conditions on our website.
Due to our terms and conditions, you cannot join on your own, why not ask someone over 18 to enter and join along with them!
We have 100,000 seeds to give away, and we will distribute them on a first-come-first-served basis. So don’t delay and get your order in today!
