We are seeking a new elected Board Director and Trustee to represent the membership on Together TV’s (The Community Channel) Board.
We have three Members on our board who are elected by our Members (our Community Shareholders). Laura Hopper, one of our current three elected Members, is stepping down at our September AGM and we are now running an election, among our Members, to elect her replacement. Our other two elected Members are Philip Turvil and Amooti Binaisa. We are keen to widen further the diversity of our elected Member trustees and would particularly welcome applications from people from diverse backgrounds as detailed below.
As a Board Director & Trustee, the commitment and energy you display will make a direct difference to Together TV and everyone we work with. You will bring your skills and experience to support our work including our strategy and future plans, helping develop our aims, objectives and goals as well as making financial and policy decisions. We are also keen to bring additional skills and experience to our board in one or more of the following areas: digital strategy, TV/VOD content (e.g. commissioning, acquisitions, funding), finance (media/charity/development), charity partnerships.
You will join a group of energetic and welcoming directors including senior professionals from the media and charity sectors and help ensure that we are accountable to our community shareholders/members, beneficiaries, media partners, donors, regulators and the public in general. Time commitment is roughly 0.5 day per month, with typically 4 meetings per year (please see details in the Director Pack attached).
