The Two Ronnies in Australia: watch the comedy legends Down Under

It's goodnight from him β€” but not quite yet.

Beloved Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett are back on your screen in The Two Ronnies in Australia, coming to Together TV this August. Made for Australian television in 1986, this six-part series takes one of Britain's best-loved comedy partnerships Down Under, packed with quick-fire wordplay, memorable characters, songs, sketches and wonderfully silly jokes.

Barker and Corbett really helped define British TV comedy. Their clever writing, perfect timing and easy warmth make it feel less like watching two famous comedians and more like catching up with old friends.

The Australian series brings together everything you love about The Two Ronnies - puns, limericks, tongue-twisters and plenty of cheeky misunderstandings. As it was made especially for Australian TV, even devoted fans may spot sketches and routines they've never seen before.

When to watch:

  • Begins Wednesday 5 August at 9pm, continuing at 9pm on Thursday 6, Friday 7, Monday 10, Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 August

  • Missed an episode? Catch it during the daytime or later in the evening throughout the month

  • The series starts again from the beginning on Monday 31 August at 9pm β€” the perfect time to join if you're new to it

More Ronnie Barker: Futtock's End

There's more Ronnie Barker comedy to enjoy this month in Futtock's End, a largely dialogue-free classic starring Barker as General Futtock, whose country house plays host to a gathering of eccentric guests. As you'd expect, things don't stay calm for long β€” think visual comedy, mischievous misunderstandings and plenty of barely controlled chaos.

When to watch:

  • Monday 17 August at 9pm and Friday 28 August at 9pm, with additional daytime showings throughout the month.

Love Your Garden with Alan Titchmarsh: this month's must-watch transformations

Fancy spending a little time in the garden instead? Alan Titchmarsh and his team bring warmth, colour and some truly moving transformations to your screen throughout August.

In Love Your Garden, Alan is joined by David Domoney, Katie Rushworth and Frances Tophill as they travel across Britain creating beautiful outdoor spaces for deserving people and families. These are far more than makeovers β€” each space is designed around the people who'll use it, from peaceful spots to rest and reflect to accessible gardens where families can relax together.

This August, join the team in Plymouth, Salford, Southampton, Eastbourne, Fareham and Nottingham. You'll also see a sensory garden created for an inspirational young girl in Hythe, and a neglected space at Blackpool Zoo transformed into a private retreat for its dedicated keepers.

Along the way, you might even pick up a few ideas for your own garden β€” however large, small or unruly it may be.

When to watch:

  • Weekday mornings and early evenings throughout August, with extra episodes at the weekend.
