What to watch before the football: classic films and new TV on Together TV this July
The World Cup is reaching its final stages, but there is still plenty to enjoy before kick-off and throughout the rest of July. Together TV has classic action, British crime thrillers, science fiction, detective drama, antiques and new episodes of Love Your Garden on the way. So put the kettle on, get comfortable and take a look at what is coming up.
What to watch before the football
Enjoy Love Your Garden before Friday’s quarter-final
Friday 10th July
Love Your Garden begins at 6pm, two hours before the evening’s World Cup quarter-final kicks off at 8pm.
Alan Titchmarsh and his team head to Bideford for another uplifting garden transformation. It is a lovely way to ease into Friday evening before settling down for the football.
Watch a classic thriller before England v Norway
Saturday 11th July
Looking for a classic film to watch before England play? The 1966 spy caper Bang! Bang! You’re Dead! starts at 8pm, ahead of England’s World Cup quarter-final against Norway at 10pm.
Six travellers set off on a bus journey from Casablanca to Marrakesh, but one of them is carrying $2 million to influence a United Nations vote. The question is: who has the money, and who is the foreign agent?
Expect mistaken identities, intrigue and plenty of twists before kick-off.
Classic films on Together TV this July
July brings martial arts action, science fiction, spy capers and British crime to Together TV.
Bang! Bang! You’re Dead! (1966)
See above – and watch on Saturday 11th July at 8pm, with another showing on Sunday 26th July at 6pm.
The Island of Dr. Moreau (1977)
H.G. Wells’s classic science-fiction story comes to the screen as a shipwreck survivor reaches a remote island and discovers the disturbing experiments taking place there.
Watch on Sunday 12th July at 8pm.
Fist of Fury (1972)
Bruce Lee stars in one of the best-known martial arts films of the 1970s, playing a student determined to avenge his teacher’s death and defend the honour of his school.
Watch on Saturday 18th July at 3.45pm, with another showing on Sunday 26th July at 4pm.
Loophole (1981)
Albert Finney and Martin Sheen star in this British crime thriller about an architect drawn into an ambitious plan to rob a major London bank through the city’s sewers.
Watch on Sunday 19th July at 7.45pm.
Coffy (1973)
Pam Grier stars as a nurse who sets out to take revenge on the criminals responsible for her sister’s drug addiction, infiltrating the criminal underworld to confront its leaders.

New TV programmes on Together TV this July
More Love Your Garden with Alan Titchmarsh
New episodes from Series 4 continue at 6pm on weekdays until Monday 13th July, bringing more uplifting garden transformations and practical inspiration.
Series 6 begins on Monday 27th July, with episodes airing at lunchtime and again during the early evening throughout the final week of the month.
Case Sensitive
British crime drama Case Sensitive comes to Together TV from Monday 13th July at 9pm.
Based on Sophie Hannah’s psychological crime novels, the series follows detectives Charlie Zailer and Simon Waterhouse as they investigate complex cases involving secrets, lies and dangerous first impressions.
Series 1 airs on 13th and 14th July, followed by Series 2 on 15th and 16th July, with daytime and overnight repeats.
The Antiques Yard
The Antiques Yard begins on Monday 20th July at 9pm and continues across the week.
The four-part series explores the world of antiques, restoration and unusual finds, meeting the people who buy, sell and uncover the stories behind hidden treasures.
