What does a green planet mean to you?
As we watch the trees turn from red to gold - and spend more nights snuggled up in front of the telly - being green takes on new meanings.
This month the climate change conference COP26 has been hosted in Glasgow. We believe that a planet friendly future starts from each individual, so we’re offering programmes you can learn from about the environment throughout the month. Whether it’s discovering new tips for healthy habits with Easy Ways to Live Well or understanding the dangers of plastic in the ocean with Drowning in Plastic, you’ll learn something new every day.
You can see the shocking truth of single use plastic in this video. But it's not all doom and gloom, get a head start by brushing up on these tips on how to fight the war on plastic. And remember to sign up for our Green Challenge for an easy way to start going green from the kitchen.
The line-up doesn’t stop there! You can also join wildlife biologist Liz Bonnin as she delves into the world of meat and whether or not it’s dangerous in Meat: A Threat to Our Planet? You could also find yourself following the travels of George Clarke restoring historical buildings in The Restoration Man or relive the experience of being on a farm during World War 2 in Wartime Farm.
Follow some advice from Barry the Beekeeper's short documentary and try to encourage more wildlife near you. The Garden Rescue team have a great tutorial for a bug hotel or try out this full garden feature from British Wild Gardens . Don’t miss out this month on these inspiring programmes as we go green!
